Attention Irish Graduates! Jobs in the EU Institutions

This year, over a thousand jobs will be offered to graduates from across the European Union to work as administrators, linguists and support staff in the EU institutions.
On 16 March, the European Commission announced that graduates from across the European Union will be able to apply for jobs within the institutions of the European Union. The closing date for applications is 15 April and more information is available on the website of the European Personnel Selection Office.
 
Speaking at a seminar for the career services of the third level colleges, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Micheál Martin T.D., encouraged Irish graduates to apply.
 
Irish people working in the EU institutions play an active role in helping to raise Ireland’s EU profile and in contributing to the development of the EU.
 
The Lisbon Treaty means that the work of the EU institutions is becoming ever more important. Maintaining a strong and talented Irish presence in the institutions will be important way of ensuring that we maintain our position at the heart of Europe.
