Margaret Sheeran is Director of the Swedish Trade Centre Ltd, Cork and a member of Network Ireland, the organisation for women in business.

Along with her husband she founded the firm in 2000 to promote high quality, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly houses to the Irish market. The firm was approved in 2007 by ÉASCA (Environmental and Sustainable Construction Association)

Margaret is married to a Swede, Nils-Ove. Due to his positions as First Secretary / Trade Commissioner - Iran, Australia, Kuwait, they lived abroad for over 20 years. In 1989 he left the Swedish Department of Foreign Affairs and they established the Swedish Trade Centre in Bahrain. In 1999, the family moved to Ireland. 

To date, the company has constructed 10 Sjödalshus houses in Dublin, Kerry, Waterford, Limerick and Cork with 2 more under planning. They have also supplied timber, triple-glazed windows and doors to over 250 houses (new builds, renovation projects and house extensions) all over Ireland. Their houses, windows and doors have been featured in articles in various newspapers and magazines since 2000 (e.g. Self Build Ireland, Construct Ireland, House & Home, The Sunday Times, The Irish Examiner, The Sunday Independent, The Sunday Tribune). In addition, a Sjödalshus house built in Dublin was featured over 3 weeks on Duncan Stewart's RTE programme, 'About the House' series in 2001.
